The Medicines Information Online Discussion is being hosted by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), an executive agency of the Department of Health.
The Medicines Information Online Discussion will take place from 8 Feburary to 8 March 2010. Throughout the Medicines Information Online Discussion, MHRA will require that participants register with the site. Participants will be required to provide a username, name, email and password. The username will be made public along with the comments made in the Medicines Information Online Discussion. Please consider this when choosing a username.
This information is collected in order to provide MHRA with aggregate information related to what types of individuals and groups are participating in the Medicines Information Online Discussion.
There are optional questions, asking you what type of person you are and what medication you take. Data regarding these questions are collected anonymously for the purposes of analysing visitor traffic. None of this data can be associated with your individual user identity within the discussion.
The check-box question on the registration page if checked will allow MHRA to use your email to contact you about testing a pilot PILs and SPCs database in the future, if such test pilot is built. Your email will not be used for any other purpose.
Participants are reminded that the Medicines Information Online Discussion is a public forum. Participants should therefore not post personally identifiable information such as social security numbers, telephone numbers, etc. on this web site.
