What do you want to search for?

We are keen to understand:

  • what patients and healthcare professionals want to search on (eg therapeutic class of drugs, condition, product name, product license number)
  • what information is most important to you? (eg side effects)
  • does this differ between if you use the PIL or SPC?
  • would you want pdf versions as well as HTML?

Other comments/suggestions around functionality welcome.

Why the contribution is important

If this project goes ahead, we would want to ensure it meets the needs of people who will be using it

Professionals would want to search by product name and possibly license number - why not use DM&D code to enable the search?

All the information in an SPC could be important - that's why having access to the whole document for every product is important.

HTML is quicker to work with, so I would prefer this as the default, but PDF format provides something that is easily printed and can be saved for future use, so would be a welcome addition.
