joint effort eMC/MHRA for a common search tool

Could the MHRA not just complement the already existing eMC and just add there the SmPCs/PILs of those medicines registered with them?

Why the contribution is important

that would save time, resources and duplication of efforts.

Would it be able to link to barcodes on products as well?

Scan the product- print the P.I.L for the patient..

I agree with csalvador.
Unless the MHRA are intending to add other significant items (now or in the future), it seems needless to reinvent the wheel.
