Why build something new when you could integrate with the current existing nhs choices or the new nhs healthspace when it's fully up and running. All my health info including information about medicines in 1 place. That's joined up thinking....
Why the contribution is important
Reduces the number of different webistes that I have to go to get good information. Good, high quality and easy access from 1 portal in a consistently presented makes for great usability.

Another idea would be to ensure that whatever source is chosen that this is the reference site of choice for the NHS and public.

I agree.
Also adverse reactions need to be clarified as 1 in 100, 1 in 500,1 in 1000, 1 in 10,000 and very rare.

A single source would simplify. I strongly agree that some indication of frequency of individual adverse reactions should be added. It is often necessary to check risk/benefit and patients tend to consider adverse reactions as inevitable.
