I don't actually read the leaflets that come with my medicines!

I have read some leaflets, and find them too comprehensive - ie they give a list of all the possible side-efects from my prescribed medicine.  Also they give a lot of background information that doesn't interest me.  That's why I've stopped reading them.

If they were to be made available on-line, they would need to be briefer and clearer, so that it's easy to check whether I'm experiencing any of the possible side-effects.

Why the contribution is important

Patient information leaflets should be clear and unambiguous, and should only provide information needed to enable patients to check whether they are experiencing side-effects caused by the medicine prescribed.  This is important to avoid possible confusion.

I agree - I also find the information too complicated, and I'd suggest they need to be more to the point and clear. Maybe more diagrams rather than words would help?
